   Maki Sushi (Sushi Rolls)

 

   Futomaki is Big Rolls.
   Hosomaki is small Rolls.

 
   
 


  Use one whole sheet of seaweed
for Futomaki, 1/2 sheet of
seaweed for Hosomaki.


(Making Hosomaki)
Put a 1/2 sheet of seaweed
on a rolling mat shiny side down.


Place the rice ball (3 to 4 handfuls)
in the center of seaweed.
 
  Spread the rice left to right.
Leave space on top and
bottom of sheet.



Put anthing you like
in the center of the rice.

Pull up the end of the mat.

 
  Roll!


Lightly squeeze and make
your roll in a circular or triangular shape.


Open the mat and push sides
of roll to fix.
 
  Cut in half.
Cut in half again.
Cut in half again.
